Thursday August 6, 2009:

On August 6, 2009 the Daniel Talbot Foundation dispersed the proceeds from the first annual benefit in honor of Officer Daniel Talbot.  The Foundation has been set up in remembrance of Officer Daniel Talbot; a Revere Police Officer who was fatally wounded in the line of duty on September 29, 2007.  Bill Talbot, Foundation President, said at the ceremony "that  we were very happy to make a donation to the Revere/Everett Youth Hockey league In memory of my Nephew Officer Daniel Talbot.  This donation was made possible by everyone that attended the 2008 benefit and we make this donation with our most heartfelt thanks."  Bill Talbot along the Foundation secretary Ellie Talbot presented a check in the amount of $2,000.00 to Revere/Everett Youth Hockey President Joe DeSantis along with coach Chris Snook.  The Funds will be used by the team for ice time and equipment needs for the players.  The Foundation would also like to thank Mr. Dennis Trodden, owner of the R&R Lounge, for his assistance in making last years benefit a success and for his help in setting up this years benefit on September 12,2009.

Everyone at The Daniel Talbot Foundation are hoping to have another great turn out for this year's benefit so that we can again make another substantial donation to the team and also hopes that the Revere/Everett Youth Hockey team has a great 2009 hockey season.
